The Premium plus is a very no-nonsense guitar.

I played the Premium plus through a Mesa Boogie Mark V amplifier. The guitar never found trouble adjusting back and forth between these lower tunings and Standard/Eb. Tuning Stability was very strong on this guitar. The frets were well finished and the 59 neck profile was a breeze to move around. The Premium plus offered a delightful playing experience. The gold hardware complimented the Root beer finish perfectly. The body of the guitar while not bound, had a nicely visible cap on the sides that gave the illusion of binding. Looks fantastic. The Les Paul Studio Premium Plus features a highly figured top in a variety of colors prior to unseen on a studio body. The electronics consist of a 490 and 498T pickup combination. I must say that I am very impressed with this Studio. The neck is supposed to by '59 (I think). It doesn't show many signs of ever been played. This is a 2007 model with stock pups (498/490) and weighs in a hair over 8 lbs. Sounds Great! It's just a super nice guitar and I am so glad that I snagged it! This is a 2007 model with stock pups (490/498) and weighs in a hair over 8 lbs. But he needed it gone and I wanted it! So we weren't gonna let "Flo"get in our way. Since we had to deal with power outages, down trees and flooding issues. It took me and the seller a few days to get together. Just after Hurricane Florence hit here in NC. After 10 years I had enough of the bling and wanted to tone it down a bit. The first pic is how it looked when I bought it, The others is how it looks now. Well my mini-journey for a Standard ended with me buying a Studio. that guitar is just too pretty for me not to play" Well when I did it just blew me away! Not only me, it blew away EVERY Standard I played that weekend!! Oh it sounded great for sure, but the feel of the guitar and the neck were just jaw dropping!! It played effortlessly and just felt so right! I played it for almost an hour, and although I'm not a fan of gold hardware, I realized what I had to do. The owner of the store, who I was talking to, told me it just came in. As I was playing a Tobacco Sunburst Standard in a GC in Tampa I noticed this striking LP Studio an employee was unpacking. Looking for a Standard I played quite a few, probably about a dozen or so. Ten years ago I was searching central Florida for a new Les Paul.

How about some pics and maybe a little story about how and why you acquired them? I know there's not too many out there, they were only made for 3 years, (2006 to 2008).but I know some guys on this forum have them.
